Wake up and Smell the Salsa

I would love to believe that this is a mistake, but it looks like Carl Rove is scheduled to speak at La Raza. This is from their own website.

"The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest national Latino civil
rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., announced today that former
President Bill Clinton, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, and Los
Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa are among the confirmed speakers for the
upcoming NCLR Annual Conference which will be held July 8-11 at the Los
Angeles
Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA."

Keep in mind that La Raza means "the race". I think that if a high ranking White House official would speak before a KKK audience we would surely hear non stop coverage about it. La Raza is a Hispanic supremacist group that believes in the reconquest of the southwest from Americans. This is just another piece of incontrovertible evidence that Bush's call for "comprehensive immigration reform" is really a euphemism for open borders.

Update: Senator Brownback (R-Kansas) is also slated to address the conference. This is really disheartening. Of all the Republican sell outs in the Senate, Brownback is the biggest disappointment. Last year he had a perfect 100 score from the American Conservative Union and has expressed aspirations to run for President. Well, the only people who would have supported him to begin with are solid "red meat"conservatives and no authentic conservative can overlook his atrocious record on illegals.
