Michael Steele Reporting Strong Fundraising

I'm a strong believer that Michael Steele will be victorious over Congressman Ben Cardin in the November Senate race. Despite the fact that Maryland is heavily Democratic, Steele outclassed Cardin in name recognition, charisma, articulation, and originality. This is one of the strongest pick-up chances for the GOP. now, there are reports that Steele is exceeding fundraising expectations for the second quarter. The Washington Compost reports:
"Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele (R) will report raising more than $1.8
million during the second quarter of the year, a clip likely to far outpace any
of his rivals for the open U.S. Senate seat, according to an internal campaign
memo.
Steele finished the quarter that ended June 30 with more than $3
million in the bank, according to a memo written by his campaign manager,
Michael Levitt, that is circulating in advance of next week's deadline to file
reports. Steele's $1.8 million haul exceeded the $1.3 million he raised last
quarter."

Keep in mind that many Maryland black voters will feel disenfranchised from the Democrats sidelining of Ben Cardin's black primary challenger Kwiesi Mfume. Steele only needs about 22% of the black vote to win the election. No wonder why the Dems are shaking in their boots from Michael Steele. Nothing worse than a black conservative!
