Connecticut Senate Update

Leiberman gets thrown off the plantation: Hillary to support the Democrat and not Leiberman if he chooses to run as an Independant.
One would think that a former Democratic VP nominee with a perfect liberal 0 ACU (American Conservative Union) score for two consecutive years would at least have the support of their leadership for their own primary? Well, in Democrat land if you deviate from the liberal cesspool just once you get thrown off the plantation immediately. Hillary made a shocking announcement:

"But I want to be clear that I will support the nominee chosen by
Connecticut Democrats in their primary," the New York Democrat added. "I believe
in the Democratic Party, and I believe we must honor the decisions made by
Democratic primary voters."

Now this is one thing that we should learn from the liberals. Our "Republican Senate" is full of liberal traitor RINO's that deviate from the party line much more than Leiberman from his party. In fact Lincoln Chafee has a 12 ACU score, the Same as Clinton, and Boxer. Not only don't the Republican leaders run primary challengers, they actively support them and fund TV ads against their conservative challengers (who are funded by private conservative groups)!! If we applied the same standard to our incumbents as the Dems we would only have 10 Senators remaining.

The good news about Leiberman running as an Ind. is that we have a remote chance of picking up this seat depending on how even the liberals split the vote in Nov. Former Mayor and state Rep. Alan Schlesinger is running as the Republican. While I wouldn't consider him a red meat candidate, he definitely has some conservative credentials and could turn out to be a strong candidtae. I will be updating the Senate races outlook periodically.
