Israel Gets Serious On Terror...Arrests Right Wing Activist

The rockets are flying from the Gaza every hour, and there are now reports of attempted launches from central Israel. One would think that Olmert would work tirelessly to eradicate every terrorist. Well, it turns out he is more concerned about conservative Isrsaeli citizens who oppose his expulsion plan. That's right. Not only is Olmert planning to fight terror by giving more strategic land to Hamas, he arrests right wing leader Ariel Groner who works to oppose his suicidal plan. INN reports:

"Ariel Groner, one of the leaders of the Honenu legal aid society, has been
imprisoned for three months under an administrative detention order signed by
Defense Minister Amir Peretz.
Under the legal process of
administrative detention, the defense minister ordered Groner jailed
without charge or trial
. Generally, administrative detention is meant
to foil threats to state security by particular individuals and has been
employed frequently against suspected Arab terrorists.

In recent years, the state has employed administrative detention also
against those suspected of planning actions in protest of unilateral withdrawal
policies in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. According to security sources, Groner’s
activity "poses a real danger to national security and is a threat to the
general public and to the security forces."Honenu is dedicated to protecting the
legal rights of those arrested in the course of defending themselves from Arab
terrorism or in the course of nationalist protest activities."
Outrageous! He is jailed without charges simply because he opposes and protests Olmert's suicidal deportation plan in the midst of the war on terror!! Meanwhile, we have been reporting that the terrorists in Israeli prisons have been allowed to meat with lawyers! This is why Israel is in such a quagmire. They are overrun by liberals who are more interesting in persecuting their most patriotic citizens than fighting terror.
Israel Update: Despite Israel's inept response to terror, the anti-semitic, pro terrorist Washington Compost is waging a jihad for Hamas. They published an editorial today that read:
"As Americans commemorated their annual celebration of independence from
colonial occupation, rejoicing in their democratic institutions, we Palestinians
were yet again besieged by our occupiers, who destroy our roads and buildings,
our power stations and water plants, and who attack our very means of civil
administration. Our homes and government offices are shelled, our
parliamentarians taken prisoner and threatened with prosecution.
The current
Gaza invasion is only the latest effort to destroy the results of fair and free
elections held early this year. It is the explosive follow-up to a five-month
campaign of economic and diplomatic warfare directed by the United States and
Israel. The stated intention of that strategy was to force the average
Palestinian to “reconsider” her vote when faced with deepening hardship; its
failure was predictable, and the new overt military aggression and collective
punishment are its logical fulfillment. The “kidnapped” Israeli Cpl. Gilad
Shalit is only a pretext for a job scheduled months ago."
I guess they are in a competition with the Old York Times as to who can be more anti-semitic. Then again, what far leftist newspaper isn't?
P.S. The author of this editorial was the Hamas PM!!! Imagine Bin Ladin writing an op-ed for the NYT?!
