Condi Discusses Israeli War on Foxnews

Sec. of State Rice was just interviewed on Foxnews. On the positive side she once again definitively supported Israel while espousing the meaningless phrases of avoiding civilians just to placate the Europeans.

On the other hand, she is still vociferously pushing for a Palestinian terror state even after everything that has happened?!! She made some disturbing references to "extreme elements of Hamas" numerous times. This means that she believes that there are moderate Hamas factions that can be legitimizing for the sole purpose of creating a state and cutting Israel in half!! Is there nothing that the Palestinian terrorist government and citizens can do that will convince her that the creation of the most violent terror state in the world will bring peril?

Also, the Foxnews anchor kept hammering her about her tough talk on Syria and Iran and lack of deeds to back it up. She responded with the usual cliches and indecisive rhetoric that has become so typical of every beaurocrat. The US State Dep't needs to stop playing both sides of the fence and disseminating hypocritical policies towards Israel, Iran, and Syria.
Update: Madaline Halfbright was on This Week and made Condi look like a Christian or Jewish Zionist. She said that Rice must visit Israel immediately and push "diplomatic initiatives" backed by the "world community". When Stephonopolis asked her if she felt they should negotiate even while Hizbollah is shooting rockets, she said yes. This is typical rhetoric of a liberal self-hating Jew. Also, I found it uncanny and quite eerie that both Albright and Chris Dodd (D- Ct) quoted the same obscure saying from leftist former PM Rabin that "you should negotiate a peace process as if there are no terrorists and negotiate terrorists as if there is no peace process."
It is impossibe for two individual Democrats to quote the same obscure idea of a former Israeli PM without a colaborated effort.
This is all part of a growing manifestation of anti-semiticim in the liberal camp. LGF has been reporting on the virulently anti-semitic articles being posted at the left wing temple Daily Kos. Keep in mind that every important Democrat leader spoke at their convention. Go figure.
Meet the Press: Newt Gingrich was on with Russert today. He is a real red meat conservative and is one of the few public figures that is getting it right on the Israeli war. Here is what he said. "Imagine we woke up this morning, and 500 Americans were dead in Miami from missiles fired from Cuba. Do you think any American would say, 'No, we should have proportionate response. We shouldn't overreact.'? No we would say, 'Get rid of the missiles.' And John F. Kennedy, a Democrat who understood the importance of power in the world, was prepared to go to nuclear war to stop missiles from being in Cuba."
In the interview with the Seattle Times, Gingrich said once the World War III terminology is accepted, calls for restraint would fall away:
"Israel wouldn't leave southern Lebanon as long as there was a single missile there. I would go in and clean them all out and I would announce that any Iranian airplane trying to bring missiles to resupply them would be shot down. This idea that we have this one-sided war where the other team gets to plan how to kill us and we get to talk, is nuts."

Update: Powerline has posted excerpts of an exclusive interview with Israeli MK Nathan Sharansky. .” Why, I asked him, will Israel only have days, especially if Hezbollah continues firing rockets into Israeli civilian areas? “Because of the world,” he answered. “At the moment Israel starts becoming successful, the world tells us to stop.” Sharansky is always on the money.
